I Can't Take You Anywhere - A Cocktail
I have to be honest, I cannot for the life of me recall how this cocktail received its name. Likely a joke about how I tend to spill whatever I'm eating or drinking all over myself, despite being the lady that I am. Either way, one night, here at Gastro HQ, the recipe was created, the name was given, and well, here we are.
Wherewith, I Can't Take You Anywhere, a cocktail for those who love cocktails, but tend to wear most of their cocktail rather than drink it. Low-ball glasses recommended.
This cocktail has a wonderful balance of spicy heat from the Canadian rye whisky, an herbal sweetness from the Benedictine, and a fire-y kick from the Tabasco. I recommend using the Chipotle Tabasco Sauce to give it a more robust smoky flavor.
I Can't Take You Anywhere
Created by Gastronomista
1-1/2 oz Rye Whisky (I used Lot 40 Canadian Rye Whisky)
1 oz Benedictine
1 Barspoon Port (I used 20 yr Sandman, because it's delicious)
1/4 oz Simple Syrup
2 Drops Chipotle Tabasco Hot Sauce
Stir with ice, and strain into a chilled low ball glass. Garnish with a Cinnamon Stick.

Cheers!
