Spring Cocktails on Potluck Video!

Not long ago I shot a video on two of my favorite spring cocktails with Ali Rosen of Potluck Video, including the Vermouth Cobbler and the Isfahan Rose.

It was so much fun to share these recipes with Ali, but it also reminded me why I'm not a real bartender - just a booze blogger!!!  The video was a lot of fun to make, and I was so thrilled to share these two drinks with Ali and her audience!!

Head over to Potluck Video for more chef interviews, cooking tips, and some mighty pretty food porn!!

Enjoy!

Until I figure out that whole cocktail wonka-vision thing, please VOTE for Gastronomista for the WIN : Voting ends April 30th 2015

If anyone has wonka-vision suggestions, I am all ears.

Gastronomista's Garden of Eden Cocktail on Glass Backwards

Gastronomista Glass Backwards Garden of Eden

I am thrilled to share with you my recipe for the Garden of Eden cocktail that I created for the Glass Backwards series!

I first saw Jude's videos this spring, and basically lost. my. shiz. because I loved the concept so much.  Since then, we have become fast friends - trading stories from the cocktail scene, sharing Saveur Best Blogs nominations, and plotting on ways to collaborate together.

Gastronomista Glass Backwards Garden of Eden

I am beyond honored to be included in this series.  He has chosen so many wonderfully talented bartenders to feature, it was a bit daunting to step up to the plate (and behind the bar) to make this cocktail!

Speaking of bars, many thanks to Iris Cafe who hosted us.  Thanks for letting me on the other side of the bar from my usual seat to make drinks for you!

Without further ado {Click Play!}

The best part of being a blog-tender instead of a real bartender, is that I always get to drink my own drinks!

Thank you SO MUCH to Jude for this awesome video - I'm blushing with delight!

Gastronomista + The American Whiskey Trail

Head over to the Huffington Post to read my latest notes on the American Whiskey Trail.  A lot has changed since I was last there in 2008, and it sounds like there are going to be dramatic changes happening in the next few years as numerous companies are investing millions of dollars into their distilleries.  Looking forward to what is to come (I hope it brings more delicious whiskey!).

Gastronomista Girls on U Look Hungry

Earlier this week Miss Helen Hollyman asked us to come onto her show, U Look Hungry on the Heritage Radio Network.  We had a fantastic time talking about all of our recent projects and our sources of inspiration; Martha, moms, hashtags, mustard, kimchi, foodie films, and of course, a strong Dark and Stormy.

Listen to the show here

Thanks to all the people who tuned in to listen to the live show - apparently there were quite a few of you!  Thank you!

Many thanks to Miss Hollyman for having us on the show.  She is a very talented writer who wrote one of my favorite pieces of all time, Das Stinky.  Check out her website if you have a second, she's got some good stuff going on there, and one fantastic theme song.  No joke, we've listened to it maybe 1000 times in the last few days.

Miss Holllyman also wrote us a very flattering preamble to the show:

"On today’s episode of U Look Hungry, I’m joined by Miss Rammy Lee Park and Emily Wells, two of the gems behind the delectable website, “Gastronomista.”

If you’re not familiar with Gastronomista, it’s one of the best food websites dedicated to bookmarking some of the most hot haute hot mouthwatering food trends and unbelievable finds.

In short, it’s almost where food, art and fashion collide. The wordy libations don’t stop there; they also create bespoke events, gorgeous videos, and so much more."

Aww stop - we're blushing!
